The CIA is great at overthrowing democratically elected governments that threaten corporate profits in any way. Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola, hosts of The Young Turks, discuss. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. http://tytnetwork.com/go

““If this president is weighing, for whatever reason, some type of novel, newly aggressive military action toward North Korea, what are the options and what are the likely consequences?” host Rachel Maddow asked.

“He could weigh an option of intercepting a missile or an option of striking a nuclear test site,” Terry explained. “But I honestly don’t think it’s going to follow through with this. This is a problem with that policy because you’re putting yourself in a bind, either you have to back down or you have to lose your credibility, or now you’re stuck on a ledge and risk a military option, which is very, very risky. North Korea is not Syria or Afghanistan. It’s going to have to be devastating consequences. North Korea will retaliate to any kind of military option.”

She went on to explain that North Korea has 70 percent of its ground forces and 50 percent of its air and naval forces deployed within 100 kilometers from the DMZ. There are millions of people in Seoul and many are American troops.”*

  1. this is literally the dumbest thing Cenk has said. CIA assassinations are illegal under Executive Order 12333 signed in 1981, which is still in effect

  2. Cenk, now you're all pro US/CIA meddling and overthrowing leaders? You can't have it both ways, you can't say "hey don't do it for democratically elected leaders, just dictators" . Your dick waving gets tiresome, dude. Don't bitch about other countries interfering in US business if you're going to condone the US doing it, dictator or not.

  3. You know what's the difference? The danger involved in a single slip up work NK. With other leaders you don't need to worry about nuclear weapons or the deaths of millions of allies. I thought that'd be obvious

  4. come, wake up already, the US has been enemy of democracy since its foundation, for starters by smearing real democracy as rule of mob and renaming something that isn't democracy, elective aristocracy, as representative democracy.

    stop the delusion.

  5. Why do you think North Korea is armed to the teeth Cenk? Because they have to deal with an evil rogue regime like the USA! The Koreans have every right to defend themselves and you shouldn't believe all the bullshit the American say about them.

  6. Because there is no oil, gold, diamonds or opium in North Korea. The western imperialism doesn't care about people, only about its failing empire. Now after 70 years, Trump suddenly wants to attack North Korea. I guess the imperialists have found some extra oil they can use! Every war US had was for looting resources from other countries and keeping them poor.

  7. I find it highly doubtful North Korea will disarm. History shows when a country disarms in a agreement with the U.S. it`s just a matter of time before the U.S. overthrows the country.
Ask Saddam Hussien or Muammar Gaddafi how disarming worked out for them.

  8. America does like to start wars with people that cant defend themselves very well. North Korea has balls and ballistic missiles to back them up. America prefers to fight farmers and shepherds with sticks and small arms and IED's.
They start more wars than any nation on earth yet seem to honestly believe they are agents of peace? Its bizarre.
They are trigger happy to the extreme.
