It sucks getting older. Especially for women. Hannah Cranston, Francis Maxwell, and Brett Erlich, the hosts of The Young Turks, tell you why. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. https://www.tytnetwork.com/go

“Older job seekers don’t need data to tell them that it’s a rough market out there, where businesses with increasingly short-run investment horizons favor lower costs over experience.

But if hard evidence can help them fight discrimination through the justice system, here’s some.

A report published by the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco found discernible and systematic patterns of age discrimination, particularly for women.

“We report on new evidence from a field experiment testing for discrimination in hiring against older workers near retirement age,” said David Newmark, a professor at the University of California at Irvine and a visiting scholar at the San Francisco Fed. “The evidence points to such discrimination, particularly against older women.”

  1. I'm72 and I can tell you this. I would not go back to being young for anything. Now is one of the best parts of my life! Who needs young people's problems? Way too much uncertainty, heartache, upset and drama. It sucks to be young. All there is for youth is strength and physical attractiveness. If you are strong, you are expected to labor instead of enjoying yourself. If you are attractive, that has its own set of problems and worries, sometimes getting you unwanted attention and abuse; even unwanted pregnancy. Old rocks!

  2. as thing are of course
give the appropriate funding to gene therapy clinics , cynbernetics research centers , and A.I. research and this can be flipped on it's head and fully reversed within 30 years
this is not hollow promises this is the natural continuation of the march of science to attain the dream our species has been passing down for millenia

join the transhumanists so we can end this farce of an ilness we have come to accept as natural

  3. This applies to different ages right now. As we know, baby boomers have a better quality of life than their parents AND their children. It may not be the same for Generation X/millennials.
